Agate Speech Therapy
Susan Baughman, M.A. CCC-SLP (she/her)
Adult-Focused Therapy
Providing individualized and evidence-based treatment via tele-health or in-home to help adults with swallowing, voice, cognitive, and/or speech concerns. Finding holistic and creative ways to improve eating and communicating.
Swallowing Therapy
We don’t often think about how complicated eating and drinking is until it becomes difficult. If you have had a change in eating or drinking due to a stroke, a brain, injury, a neurological disorder, or other illness, I can provide a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan to meet your needs.
Gender-Affirming Voice Therapy
I provide gender-affirming voice services for individuals seeking to communicate in an authentic voice. Everyone is welcome! Whether you are brand new to voice work, want to refine your voice, are seeking a more masculine/feminine/gender neutral voice, or something else, I am positive we can work together to help you communicate the way that best reflects YOU!
Communication Therapy
Communication is complex! If you or a loved one are experiencing any of the following, you may benefit from speech therapy services.
Trouble understanding spoken or written language
Trouble with clear expression or word-finding
Difficulty with organizing thoughts or remembering important information
Hoarse/raspy voice or coughing that limits or interrupts your communication

I work with individuals with neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinsons Disease, ALS, and MS which may change and progress over time. I have both a special interest and specialized training in swallowing disorders and voice disorders. I am also passionate about gender-affirming voice therapy. In a nutshell, I want you to eat the foods you want to eat, and communicate the way you want to communicate!
