Agate Speech Therapy

Susan Baughman, M.A. CCC-SLP (she/her)

Individualized Therapy!

Providing individualized and evidence-based treatment via tele-health or in-home to help folks from birth to age 100+ with swallowing/feeding, voice, cognitive, and/or speech concerns. Finding holistic and creative ways to improve eating and communicating.

Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing

Is your baby having trouble breast feeding or bottle feeding? Are you wondering about the transition from milk or formula to solid foods? Do you worry that your child isn’t eating enough variety of food? They may benefit from a feeding and swallowing assessment. From there, an individualized therapy plan may help ensure that your child’s feeding and swallowing skills are on track for happy and healthy mealtimes.

Swallowing Therapy

We don’t often think about how complicated eating and drinking is until it becomes difficult. If you have had a change in eating or drinking due to a stroke, a brain, injury, a neurological disorder, or other illness, I can provide a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan to meet your needs.

Gender-Affirming Voice Therapy

I provide gender-affirming voice services for individuals seeking to communicate in an authentic voice. Everyone is welcome! Whether you are brand new to voice work, want to refine your voice, are seeking a more masculine/feminine/gender neutral voice, or something else, I am positive we can work together to help you communicate the way that best reflects YOU!

Communication Therapy

Communication is complex! If you or a loved one are experiencing any of the following, you may benefit from speech therapy services.

  • Trouble understanding spoken or written language

  • Trouble with clear expression or word-finding

  • Difficulty with organizing thoughts or remembering important information

  • Hoarse/raspy voice or coughing that limits or interrupts your communication
