Frequently Asked Questions

What are your rates?

Private pay rates are $200 for an evaluation and $150 for 55 minute treatment sessions. Shorter or longer treatment sessions are available at clinician’s discretion and pricing will be adjusted accordingly.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I currently accept Medicare and hope to accept Partnership HealthPlan soon. For insurances other than Medicare, I do not bill your insurance company directly; however, you may be able to seek reimbursement for our services through your out-of-network benefits. I can provide a receipt of services called a “superbill” for out-of-network reimbursement. You should communicate with your insurance company prior to starting treatment to determine out-of-network benefits.

Do I need a doctor’s order to work with you?

If you are covered by Medicare, YES!

If you are paying privately, NO!

Do you have an office?

At this time, I only see clients via teletherapy or in-home. If you are seeking reimbursement for services through your insurance, you should verify with your provider whether teletherapy and/or in-home services are covered.

Why should I pay privately for speech therapy?

There are several reasons to consider private-pay speech therapy.

  • Flexibility: Insurance often requires a therapist to determine a set frequency of treatments (like 1x/week). With private pay, I can see you 3x a week, once a month, once a quarter - whatever meets your needs!

  • Location: Do you want to have your therapy outside? Do you want to practice new skills in a functional setting like the grocery store or a coffee shop? Let’s improve the carryover of your swallowing or communication skills in a natural setting!

  • Expertise: Different clinicians have different skillsets. I have over 10 years of experience working with adults and have received the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s ACE award for completing 70+ hours of continuing education within a 3 year cycle (minimum requirement to maintain licensure/certification is 30 hours) I am dedicated to staying on top of research and seek to provide evidence-based interventions, especially in the areas of swallowing and voice.
